Architecture
Licensed to practice, with experience across the full arc of a project: programming, design, construction documents and construction administration.
Licensed Architect & Software Developer
25 years in architecture and construction. I design healthcare buildings and write the software that helps build them.
Practice
Licensed to practice, with experience across the full arc of a project: programming, design, construction documents and construction administration.
Healthcare facilities, where infection control, clinical workflow, equipment and code compliance all have to agree in one plan.
Tools that read building models and turn them into things a shop floor can make: geometry, cut paths and fabrication data.
Patent
Treat a 3D model as a graph, and its corners stop being a guess.
Building models are full of near-duplicate vertices, split faces and coplanar seams. Finding the real corners of a wall or soffit by inspecting faces one at a time is fragile. My application describes reading the model's topology as a graph and finding corners from how it is connected.
Milled drywall
Milled drywall replaces field-built corners with folds. A CNC router cuts V-grooves into the back of a gypsum board, leaving the face paper intact, and the board folds into a clean, factory-true corner on site.
I develop the software behind it, train crews on site and support projects across the country.
The software runs on healthcare facilities of every size throughout the United States, from very small clinics to very large hospitals.
Talks & study
Presented my work at Penn State, bringing practice from architecture and construction software into an academic setting.
Traveled to Amsterdam for a week-long seminar on Geometric Algebra, the mathematics of points, lines, planes and rotations that underpins how I reason about 3D models.
Architecture, healthcare projects, construction software or fabrication geometry.
